During the journey, we travel through the volcanic region of Campi Flegrei, where nature, history, and authentic local experiences come together in a unique way.
Program description
The tour starts in Naples, and even the journey itself offers breathtaking panoramic views as we travel along the coastline towards Pozzuoli.
Upon arrival in Pozzuoli, we visit the famous Temple of Serapis (Macellum), where we learn about one of the area’s most fascinating natural phenomena: bradyseism, the slow rising and sinking of the ground.
Afterwards, we explore the Amphitheatre of Pozzuoli, the third-largest Roman amphitheatre in Italy.
Seasonal experiences
Depending on the season, the tour can be enriched with unique local experiences:
• During winter and spring, it is possible to enjoy orange picking in a garden located inside a volcanic crater, where lunch can also be arranged in a peaceful natural setting.
• In spring, summer, and autumn, in the area of Baia, we can admire the remains of submerged Roman villas, mosaics, and ancient walls from a special glass-bottom boat.
For diving enthusiasts, guided dives are also available in the same extraordinary underwater archaeological site, offering an almost surreal experience.
Return to Naples – passing by Solfatara
At the end of the tour, we return to Naples, passing by one of the most famous volcanic areas of Campi Flegrei: the Solfatara crater.
Although the inside of the crater is currently closed to visitors for safety reasons, the area can still be observed from outside, with its steaming ground and volcanic activity creating a unique atmosphere reminiscent of the powerful forces beneath the earth.
This short stop offers an insight into the natural wonders of the “Land of Fire” before returning to Naples.
What can you see underwater?
During the dive — or from the glass-bottom boat — a fascinating submerged ancient world reveals itself beneath the surface:
the remains of Roman villas, mosaics, statues, and ancient walls that sank beneath the sea as a result of bradyseism.

The “Scuba Experience” is not a certification course, but an introductory diving experience that allows you to explore the underwater archaeological park of Baia after a short theoretical and practical briefing, accompanied by a qualified diving instructor.

The program is fully customizable, and I personally coordinate and manage the entire experience, including Hungarian-speaking assistance and private transfer.
